Project: 320 square foot cabin with loft.
Sustainable/Green Components: Built to meet basic needs; all windows, doors and bath fixtures are salvaged; reused five trees from clearing for building as main roof support and porch framing; radiant barrier on roof sheathing decreases solar heat gain by up to 20%; energy star steel roof reflects heat and is durable up to 100 years limiting material waste associated with failure and repairs; building material is salvaged or engineered. Plan is to use recycled or repurposed materials on 75% of interior build out;
fireplace, built–in shelving, exposed kitchen shelving, recycle center, porch.
